Horvath Associates Office Building

Horvath Associates, PA was established in 1988 in Durham, N.C., by Ronald L. Horvath, P.E. to explore opportunities within the southeastern United States. Ron previously spent 10 years as VP of Engineering for an Architectural/Engineering firm in Chapel Hill, N.C. His background and experience in structural and civil design, and inter-office coordination of architects and other PME designers on commercial and institutional projects provided a spring board to his future endeavors. Ron established Horvath Associates in pursuit of more diverse projects nationwide. His goals were to integrate Landscape Architecture and Civil Engineering; to become a regional leader in alternative stormwater and environmental design; to establish a reputation for quality design within established budgets and schedules; and to establish the firm as a TEAM PLAYER with architects nationwide. Since then, Ron and his partner John M. Combs, P.E. in the Chattanooga, Tenn., office have worked together to meet these goals.

The company has worked on projects ranging in size from 1 acre to several thousand acres with budgets from $100,000 to over $40 million. Horvath Associates currently has a staff of 16 with seven (7) Design Professionals and two (2) Design Interns, and works on over 100 projects per year.
